
About Me
Ciao!
My name is Shirley, and I am an Ayurvedic practitioner, yoga and meditation teacher, and sound meditation facilitator specializing in integrative and holistic well-being.
I grew up on the sunny coastline of Southern California and spent a decade living in Hawai‘i before following my heart to the hills of Tuscany in 2015, where the landscape and culture have deeply influenced my way of living — teaching me to move with natural rhythms and to appreciate seasonal, regional food and a slower pace of life.
In today’s fast-paced world, Ayurveda, yoga, and meditation have been my foundational tools for cultivating balance, resilience, and presence. Over the years, I have completed extensive trainings in vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga, meditation, yin yoga, and therapeutic sound practices, alongside formal academic study in Eastern philosophy and integrative health.
Academically, I hold a BA in Arts and Sciences from Maharishi International University and a Master’s degree in Yoga Studies from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. I am currently completing a second Master’s degree in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine at MIU, deepening my training in personalized lifestyle, nutrition, and mind-body medicine.
I take great joy in guiding individualized Ayurvedic consultations, teaching both dynamic and gentle practices, and facilitating immersive sound meditation experiences. Each session is designed with care and attention to the unique needs of my students and clients, blending tradition with modern understanding.
My daily practice is the foundation of my life and informs the way I teach and live.
Currently, I lead private and small-group sessions in and around Florence, collaborate with select hotels and villas across Tuscany, organize bespoke wellness retreats, and serve as faculty at a higher-education institute where I teach yoga philosophy, mindfulness, Ayurveda, and Eastern spiritual traditions.
